Formed in 2002,Sheffield, England. The band consists of Alex Turner (vocals, guitar), Matt Helders (drums), Jamie Cook (guitar) and Nick O'Malley(bass). Andy Nicholson (bass guitar, 2002-2006)

2003

The Arctic Monkeys plays in front of an audience for the first time after a year of rehearsing in Sheffield, their home town.

May 2005

The band began to grow in popularity across the north of England. The band released their first single, Five Minutes with Arctic Monkeys
